Featuring Grundy & Kendall in Outer Space!
PAASSS is excited to share the launch of our 2026 Bilingual Activity Calendar, now available on paasss.org. This year’s calendar features our beloved mascot squirrels, Grundy and Kendall, on an imaginative journey through outer space while offering families free, simple, and engaging daily activities all year long.
This project was made possible through funding from Birth to Five Illinois, and it represents the combined creativity and dedication of many Region 24 partners. We extend heartfelt thanks to the Fox Valley Family YMCA, United Way, Family Focus, Plano Families with Vision, Mutual Ground, and P.H. Miller Elementary School, each of whom contributed photos, ideas, activities, and family-friendly recipes to support their featured month. This calendar is truly a collaborative regional effort designed to strengthen family engagement and early learning.
Printed copies will be distributed to families across Region 24; however, due to limited resources, we are unable to provide printed copies for all who may want one.
As we enter the season of giving, we invite our community to support PAASSS through a Giving Tuesday donation on December 2 or by contributing as part of your end-of-year giving. Your generosity directly supports family engagement initiatives—like this calendar—and helps ensure that all Region 24 families who wish to receive a printed calendar can do so at no cost.
