Plano Families with Vision is a dedicated group of parents and caregivers who first came together through the COFI Phase I training series in Spring 2025. Over seven weeks, participants identified meaningful goals for themselves, their families, and their community—while building strong relationships and developing leadership skills.
Motivated by their shared purpose, this dynamic group chose to continue their work for an additional five weeks, designing and leading community projects that made an immediate impact, including:
- FREE children’s art classes during the summer
- Family movie nights co-hosted with the Fox Valley Family YMCA
- Representation at community meetings as advocates for local families
Today, Plano Families with Vision proudly serves as the Family Council for PAASSS, with representatives attending:
- Plano School District Board Meetings
- City Council Meetings
- Chamber of Commerce Board Meetings
These committed leaders are taking initiative, amplifying family voices, and working together to make Plano a community where all families can thrive.
