PAASSS is excited to share another valuable resource available to families in our region! The Diaper Closet, located at the Sandwich Church of the Nazarene, provides diapers at no cost to families caring for infants and young children.

On Tuesday, October 27, PAASSS and Waubonsee Community College will bring together families, educators, students, business and community leaders, advocates, and early childhood partners for “Community, Culture, & Conversations: No Small Matter Community Screening & Panel Discussion.”

PAASSS is expanding its support for Grundy County families with a new opportunity designed to help residents take control of their finances and build a stronger financial future. Thanks to a $4,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Grundy County, PAASSS will offer Financial Peace University (FPU) at no cost to Grundy County residents. Classes are forming now and participation will be limited to 25 people.

After months of reflection, community input, and strategic planning, PAASSS is proud to announce a new name and logo that better reflects the organization’s expanded mission and regional impact.

PAASSS is proud to help share information about upcoming K–12 Back-to-School Immunization Clinics offered by the Kendall County Health Department. These clinics provide an important opportunity for families to ensure children are up to date on required immunizations for the upcoming school year.

Since launching in August 2025, PAASSS has been working alongside families, schools, and community partners to strengthen early childhood support across Grundy and Kendall Counties. We are excited to share our new interactive IRIS data dashboard, which highlights community needs, tracks referrals, and reflects the growing impact of our cross-sector partnerships.

Families across Grundy and Kendall Counties are invited to join us for a morning of fun, learning, and healthy living at Healthy Kids Day on Saturday, April 25 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Fox Valley Family YMCA in Plano.

PAASSS Community Listening Sessions are a great chance to share your thoughts, connect with others, and help shape the future of PAASSS. Come as you are, bring your ideas, and let's have a meaningful conversation together! Sessions are held in Kendall and Grundy Counties.

PAASSS is excited to share the launch of our 2026 Bilingual Activity Calendar, now available on paasss.org. This year’s calendar features our beloved mascot squirrels, Grundy and Kendall, on an imaginative journey through outer space while offering families free, simple, and engaging daily activities all year long.

The Plano Area Alliance Supporting Student Success (PAASSS) has been awarded $66,000 in new funding from Birth to Five Illinois to expand family engagement, strengthen community partnerships, and enhance coordinated early childhood systems across Grundy and Kendall Counties (Region 24).
